Like any sport there is a set of rules for each category of Karting; whilst there are many regulations for Karting as a whole Cadets have their own peculiarities mainly because of size.

Chassis are smaller than Junior and adult karts and have to conform to a 'homologated' list and engines have to match up to a strict list of measurements to make the racing fair and equal.

Tyres are also designated for this class which currently uses Dunlop.

In dry weather only eligible tyre is the Dunlop LS2 and in wet conditions you must use the Dunlop KT3
